On a scale from 1-10 this bike is a 20 to ride. This thing is a wheelie machine!
It wants to wheelies in the first three gears. I was riding it from Greene to Norwich, taking a corner in 2nd gear around 30ish mph, pinned it front wheel just lifted scared the hell out of me, but recreating that feeling is all I could focus on from that point on. I was addicted.
Not that I’m hating on the 796 motor on my previous Hyper but the feel, sound, and torque of the 1100. I don’t do clutch up wheelie, simply put I’m not comfortable doing that. Much more comfortable and confident with power wheelies. That being said I used to power wheelie the heck out of my 796 and never had to worry about feeling like I was going to flip on my back. Not the case with the 1100. I feel like 1st and 2nd gear would have me laying on my back if I pinned it.
Anyways here is the list of upgrades I’ve done since I’ve bough her:
LeoVince race headers
LeoVince decat
SP race Oil cooler
Crg shorty levers
Crg mirrors
Black heat wrap
Upgraded clutch springs and master cylinder
Evo tidy tail
Battery
I have velocity stacks but haven’t installed them yet because then I’d have toreflash my ECU. SOON THOUGH!!
Here is a comparison of my 796 and 1100 on the same road once in the spring and the other in the fall
